FOIL PRINCIPLE
The front and rear wings work as lifting devices, which means they can create a lifting force from the flow
of water that travels across them at speed. This is the reason why they are built with a specific sectional
profile:The shape of the wings' profile shall not be modified, filled and sanded. Doing so would alter
the balance and prevent the correct operation of the foil.
WARNING
In order to guarantee the correct behavior and performances of the foil, the rear edge (trailing
edge) of the wings must remain very thin, thereby making this part more fragile in case of
impacts. During handling and use of the FOIL, the user should be particularly cautious with
these sharp areas in order to avoid any risk of injury.

ASSEMBLING / TAKING APART THE FOIL
TO ASSEMBLE THE FOIL
If you have a carbon mast, go directly to step 4.
If you use an Escape foil, go directly to step 5.
If you have an aluminium mast, first follow the 3 steps below:
1. If you use a Top Plate: Fit the top plate onto the mast using two of the M6 x 25 mm screws.
2. If you use a Tuttle; KF or Deep-KF connection: Fit the required top part onto the mast using the two
M6 x 50 mm screws.
3. Screw the Titan mast foot onto the mast with two M6 x 25 mm screws.
4. Assemble the wing and fuselage with two M6 x 25 mm screws.
5. Fit the stab with the fuselage with two M6 x 15 mm screws.
6. Fit the foil plane (wing, fuselage and stab) to the mast base with:
•
GRAVITY Carbon : 3x M6 x 32 mm screws
•
PHANTOM Carbon : 3x M6 x 32 mm screws
•
MIRAGE Carbon : 3x M6 x 32 mm screws
•
SK8 Carbon: 3x M6 x 32 mm screws
11
•
EAGLE Carbon: 3x M6 x 32 mm screws
•
SEVEN-SEAS Carbon: 3x M6 x 32 mm screws
•
ESCAPE Carbon: 3x M6 x 30 mm screws
•
JAM Carbon: 3x M6 x 32 mm screws
7. Tighten all screws firmly until a rigid connection is achieved throughout the foil. Do not over tighten
to the point of damaging the screw heads.
FITTING THE FOIL ONTO THE BOARD
8. Lay down the board bottom facing up. Place the board upside down on a surface that will not damage it
(avoid cement, gravel...) (hull upwards).
9. If you use a Top Plate: connect the entire foil to the board with four M6 screws and special nuts (T-nut).
Please adjust the size of the screws depending on the rails of your board:
• Aluminum rails: M6 - 15 mm (x4) screws.
• Plastic rails: M6 - 25 mm (x4) screws.
• 4 Inserts: M6 - 15 mm (x4) screws.
10. If you use a Tuttle; KF or Deep-KF connection:
a. Insert the mast head into the box of the board.
b. Rotate carefully the board onto its side.
c. Fasten the foil to the board using two M6 bolts. Make sure the bolts you use are the right length for
your board.
d. Do not forget to use washers to avoid damaging the deck of the board.
TO TAKE THE FOIL APART
1. Put the foil + board upside down on the ground.
2. Unscrew the fuselage (wing, fuselage and stab), leaving the mast on the board.
3. Unscrew the stabilizer and front wing from the fuselage.
4. Unscrew the rear part of the fuselage.
5. Unscrew the top plate or the mast head and take away the mast from the board.
6. Do not forget to unscrew and rinse all the parts after use.
