9. Maintenance
National regulations including EN 60079-17 apply to the maintenance of electrical equipment
in areas where there is danger of gas explosions.
The maintenance period for this bulkhead fitting depend on the particular application and
should therefore be adapted to the specific application by the user.
During maintenance, bulkhead fitting AR-081 should be checked for internal dirt (pollution) or
damage. When it is found that the bulkhead fitting has been polluted it must be cleaned
properly which may be carried out by rinsing, by ultrasonic process, or otherwise.
In the case of damage, the entire bulkhead fitting must be replaced.
Attention
The bulkhead fitting must be considered as an entire unit and may therefore not be
dismantled.
10. Repair
Repairs to the AR-081 bulkhead fitting may only be executed by applying original parts that
are assessed, converted and marked by Artidor Explosion Safety B.V. Repairs may only be
carried out by qualified Artidor Explosion Safety B.V. personnel. Applying of non-assessed,
non-converted, non-marked parts may lead to injury to persons and damage to equipment.
If non-original parts are used or repairs are carried out in an incompetent manner, the
explosion-safety of the signal light can no longer be guaranteed. Therefore it is preferred that
the bulkhead fitting will be returned to the manufacturer or its representative for repair.
11. Removal / re-use
For processing regarding disposal or reuse of the product and its packaging, national
disposal and environmental laws and legislation must be taken into consideration.
