5. Audio-Input
5.1 Sensitivity
The input levels of INPUT 1 and 2 can be adjusted depending on the connected sound
source.
If a microphone is connected, set the respective grey switch to the »Mic« position as
indicated on the device label.
If a line audio source is connected, set the respective grey switch to the »Line« position.
5.2 Analogue AGC (Automatic Gain Control)
The incoming audio level is monitored by the device and automatically reduced using
analogue amplifier technology in the event of an overdriven input signal.
This protects against feedback problems and other unwanted effects.
5.3 48V phantom power
The DIP switch on the back of the ring loop amplifier (see illustration above) switches on
48 V phantom power for condenser microphones. Move the respective DIP switch to the
upper position.
ATTENTION: If you connect an unbalanced audio source, do not switch on the phantom
power! This may damage the audio source!
