4.5.10 Protect / Clip
The »Protect / Clip« LEDs indicate the respective status of the loop. The red LED lights
up when:
- The resistance of the loop cable is not between 0.5 and 3 ohms.
- The respective amplifier section is overloaded or overheated.
- The input level is too high, which leads to clipping of the audio signal.
Loop works correctly
4.5.11 Loop
These green LEDs indicate the status of the loop cable. If the loop is interrupted, short-
circuited or the loop resistance is not between 0.5 and 3 ohms, the »Loop« LED is not
displayed and the »Protect / Clip« LED lights up instead.
4.5.12 Function of the fault relay
If the loop amplifier is working properly, the „NO / NC" relay is activated and switches a
connection between the „NC" pin (Normally Closed) and the „O" pin.
If the function monitoring detects an error (interrupted loop, overloaded amplifier, inade-
quate loop resistance, etc.), the relay is deactivated and switches a connection between
the „NO" pin (Normally Open) and the „O" pin.
