turned OFF and back ON again. Then the machine is
ready for operation.
3.2 g
rinding tools
Use only grinding tools whose admissible maxi-
mum speed is equal to or higher than the no-load
speed of the machine.
Use only clean tools!
3.2.1 f
itting of grinding tools
Push the grinding tool attachment on the spindle. Tighten
with a fastening screw and washer.
3.2.2 o
ption
Press the locking knob and turn the mandrel to loosen
and detach it.
Only operate the locking knob when the spindle is
standing still.
Place the backing flange on the spindle with the slot
pointing down.

Screw on the grinding tool attachment. Press the locking
knob, and tighten the grinding tool attachment. To detach
the grinding tool attachment, follow the above instructions
in reverse order.
The grinding tools must run true. Do not use grind-
ing tools which have gotten out of round! Trial run!
Check grinding tools before use. The grinding tool
must be correctly mounted and must rotate freely. Per-
form a trial run a minimum over a period of 30 seconds
without load. Do not use grinding tools which are dam-
aged, which do not run true or which vibrate!
3.3 w
orKing instructions
When machining surfaces, move the grinding tool tool
parallel to the surface. The electronic constant control
maintains the speed nearly constant during idling and
work under load and assures a uniform result. Excessive
pressure lessens the working capability of the machine,
as well as the life of the grinding wheel. The machine is
equipped with an electronic control and integrated over-
load protection. If the machine is overloaded, the speed
will drop drastically. Immediately take the load off the ma-
chine and allow to run for a short time without load.

reVentiVe mAintenAnce
To work effectively and surely keep the
machine and the ventilation slots clean at
all times. Check carbon brushes and re-
place if necessary. Clean motor housing and replenish
grease filling in gearbox housing.
To maintain the protective insulation the machine must be
subjected to a technical safety inspection. This work must
be done exclusively by a specialized electrical workshop.
When working on metal under extreme working conditions
conductive dust deposits can occur inside the machine,
thereby impairing the protective insulation of the tool. In
such cases the use of a stationary vacuuming system,
frequent blowing out of the ventilation slots and protection
by a fault current protection switch are advised.
