Troubleshoot the Transfer Valve
If water flows from the transfer valve cartridge during operation or
if the transfer valve becomes plugged or inoperable:
Remove the Transfer Valve Trim
Use a flat blade screwdriver to gently pry off the handle cap.
Unthread the screw from the valve.
Remove the knob from the valve assembly.
IMPORTANT! Use care to prevent loosening the O-ring or trim
rings from the knob.
Gently pry up the escutcheon.
Remove the escutcheon from the valve assembly.
Set aside all the trim parts.
Disassemble the Transfer Valve
IMPORTANT! Use care to prevent the seals and O-rings from falling
off, becoming dirty, or damaged.
Remove the plated nut from the transfer valve.
Carefully withdraw the cartridge from the brass body.
Line up the transfer tube stop with the slot in the collar.
Use a flat blade screwdriver to carefully pry the two locking tabs
on the collar loose from the transfer tube.
