4.2. PRESSURE REGULATORS PRODUCT LINE 500
A maximum of six (in some cases four) inlet and outlet bores with NPT 1/4" female thread allow a wide range
of options for connecting and adapting the pressure regulator. Please follow in the case of device change
the hints in the chapters 6. and 7.
4.3. CYLINDER PRESSURE
REGULATORS
The FMD 500/502 is designed to reduce high
cylinder pressure to the lower supply pressure
range. According to DIN 477, the cylinder con-
nections have particular connection threads.
FMD 500/502-14/16/18
Single stage (double stage) cylinder pressure
regulators with outlet tube fitting (-14) or with
divers additional device like shut-off valve (-16)
or metering valve (-18).
FMD 500/502-21
The FMD 500/502-21 model allows external
purging using a purge valve (inlet) and the pro-
cess valve (outlet). By this means the pressure
regulator is specially used with flammable, re-
active or corrosive gases.

Line pressure regulators are used to reduce a higher tube pressure to a certain low supply pressure level.
