No power
Defective ON/OFF Trigger Switch
Sanding Belt (7) too fine or worn
Sanding Belt too coarse
Not enough material removed
Sanding Belt incompatible with material
Too much pressure exerted on to the File Arm (8)
Belt not installed correctly
Worn or defective Sanding Belt; belt with wrong
dimensions
Solution
Check power supply
Have the ON/OFF Trigger Switch replaced by an authorised Silverline service
centre
Fit new Sanding Belt with coarser grit
Fit new Sanding Belt with finer grit
Continue sanding
Fit correct Sanding Belt
Use less pressure whilst moving the tool
Follow instructions in 'Fitting a sanding belt'
Fit a new Sanding Belt
