17. A prompt will appear on the display asking you to flush the carbonizer with carbon
dioxide. Tap the green arrow to start the flush. Carbon dioxide then flows through
the appliance for 30 seconds and audibly out of the fitting. The process can be
stopped prematurely as soon as only gas comes out of the fitting.
18. Using a 6 mm Allen key or a large flat blade screw driver to adjust the flow rate of
sparkling water to 1.6 l/min at the carbonation valve.
a. Rotate the adjustment screw "A" clockwise to decrease the flow.
b. Rotate the adjustment screw "A" anti-clockwise to increase the flow.
To measure the flow rate you have set, use a measuring cup or jug and run the spar-
kling water for 15 seconds. (The HydroTap has a default 15 seconds dispense time,
which will help in your flow rate set up.) Multiply the amount of water dispensed in
that 15 seconds by 4 to get your flow rate in litres per minute. 1.6 litres per minute is
the optimum flow rate.
Note: If you adjust the flow rate too high, you will empty the carbonation can of
water leaving only CO
to be dispensed from the tap.

Take care NOT to use excessive force during adjustment of the valve.

Note: If the water system has not been used for several days, allow the tap to run
cold water for about five minutes.
Operation
Classic
Press the blue 'chilled' lever to dispense chilled water (max. 15 sec.). Pull the lever up
to dispense chilled water continually. The water will flow for 5 to 15 seconds. This time
can be set in the menu. The lever then has to be manually returned to the Off position.
Press the blue 'sparkling' lever to dispense sparkling water with carbon dioxide added
(max. 15 sec.). Pull the lever up to dispense sparkling water continually. The water will
flow for 5 to 15 seconds. This time can be set in the menu. The lever then has to be
manually returned to the Off position.
Classic Plus
Press the blue button to dispense chilled water. When the button is pressed, chilled
water flows as long as it is pressed (max. 15 sec.).
Press the white button to dispense sparkling water. When the button is pressed,
sparkling water flows as long as it is pressed (max. 15 sec.).
Quantity filling: Before selecting the water type, press the fill button. After pressing the
red, blue or white button briefly, water flows for a period of between 5 and 15 seconds
that can be set in the menu.
