The battery is equipped with tempera-
ture monitoring that only permits
charging over a temperature range
between 0 °C and 45 °C. This ensures a
long battery life.
Do not press the On-/Off-rocker switch
again if the device has switched itself off
automatically. The battery can be dam-
aged. Note the details concerning dis-
posal of the battery.

6.1 Charging procedure

Figures
These figures refer to the 18.0 V
/ 2.5 Ah battery and the AL
1810 CV charger.
5a
The charging process starts as soon as
the plug has been plugged into the
power outlet and the battery has
been placed in the charger.
Due to the intelligent charging method,
the charging condition of the battery is
automatically detected and the battery is
charged with the optimum charging cur-
rent, depending on battery temperature
and voltage. This gives longer life to the
battery and always leaves it fully charged
when kept in the charger for storage.
Indicator statuses:
The charging process is indicated
by the flashing of the battery charge indi-
cator.
A solid light on the battery charge
indicator signals that the battery is fully
charged or that the temperature of the
battery is not within the permitted charg-
ing temperature range, and can therefore
not be charged. The battery is charged as
soon as the allowable charging tempera-
ture range is reached. When the battery is
not inserted, a solid light on the battery
charge indicator signals that the mains
plug is inserted in the plug socket and that
the charger is ready for operation.
5b
Following a successful charging proce-
dure, first disconnect the charger plug
from the power outlet, then remove the
battery from the charger.

ATTENTION
The battery that is supplied is not water-
proof! Use the protective covering to
prevent damage to the battery.
6
Pull the protective covering over the
battery. When doing this, ensure that
the protective covering is not dam-
aged and fits correctly.
7
When inserting the battery, ensure that
the contacts at the device and the bat-
tery itself are dry. Insert the charged bat-
tery into the device as shown into place.
When doing this, ensure that the pro-
tective covering is not damaged and
seals off the battery all round.
8
Now turn on the device with the On-/
Off-rocker switch (A) on. In the display
(B) the charge status indicator (K) now
shows the charge status of the battery in
percent for approx. 5 seconds.
The device is now ready for operation (the
motor does not start yet, NO pressure is built
up) and the desired settings can be made.
9
The device is factory-set to the unit "bar".
To change the mode to "psi", press but-
ton
(E) until the unit changes.
Use the buttons
between "bar" and "psi". To return to the
pressure setting, press button
repeatedly.
10
To then set the pressure, press the but-
ton
(E) once until the unit changes.
11
Use the buttons
desired maximum operating pressure,
which is then shown on the display.
12
Switch on the BATTERY COMPRESSOR
with the button
(F).
