To whom it may concern,
The European REACH regula on e ec ve from 1st of June 2007, aims to a be er knowledge on the European market
of the risks linked to 30000 substances currently used in all industries and ul mately targets to gradually reduce the
more concerning products. In order to do so, gradual modifica ons will happen over the next 10 years from 1st of
June 2008 (cf ar le 10). It is an innova ve change of way in communica ng informa on on substances. All along the
supply chain, may the chemical be isolated, container in a prepara on or a good.
We, Pentair Interna onal llc., are aware of our role as an actor in this regula on.
The consulta on of various guides, as well as our par cipa on to CETIM informa on seminars, allow to confirm with
certainty that :
• We, Pentair Interna onal llc., manufacture "ar
according to REACH regula on (cf Ar le 3)
• None of the components of our Pentair Aqua c Systems parts are des ned to "reject substances in normal
condi ons or condi ons of reasonable use" (cf Ar le 7.1).
Consequently no prerecording or registra on is needed for products of the Pentair Aqua c Systems product
lines.
• This does not exclude the possible presence of concerning substances that may need to be informed to our
customers, or require no fica on to the European Chemicals Agency (cf Ar cle 7.2).
We con nuously check if updates of approved/registered substances have impacts on our products.
At current knowledge status, the substances used to produce our raw materials used for produc
in our manufacturing plants, are Reach compliant.
Should any of the substances be iden fied and correspond to the volume criterions explained in the Reach
regula on, we will do the necessary communica on on the subject.
We remain at your disposal for any ques on on our current procedures.
