Connection cable with cable lugs/cigarette lighter plug
This kind of cable is only enclosed with the inverters with a lower output.
Observe that the maximum output of the inverter may not be available when using
the connection cable, since the cigarette lighter socket in the vehicle may be
secured with a fuse with a lower rated value.
However, never replace the fuse in your vehicle by any other fuse (with a higher
rated value), since this may damage the vehicle electronics. There also is a danger
of fire!
If there is a fuse in the cigarette lighter plug of the enclosed cable, check its rated
value. Again, the fuse may trip prematurely if a consumer is operated with too-high
power consumption on the inverter.
The cable must only be used if the middle contact of the cigarette lighter socket in
the vehicle is the plus pole (+) and the outer contact the minus pole (-).
• Check if the input voltage indicated on the inverter matches the voltage of the cigarette
lighter socket used by you.
If this is not the case, the inverter must not be connected to the cigarette lighter socket.
• First connect the black connection terminal of the inverter to the black line of the connection
cable.
Then connect the red connection terminal of the inverter to the red line of the connection
cable.
When connecting the inverter, always ensure correct polarity; never swap the con-
nections!
Red connection terminal = plus pole (+)
Black connection terminal = minus pole (-)
Use only the enclosed cables or at least equal cables with a sufficient line cross-
section and suitable cable lugs for connection.
