Warnings on the use of the burner
•
Hot surface do not touch!
•
Do not add fuel when the fl ame is burning as serious injuries could occur.
•
Use the extinguishing tool supplied to adjust/close the fl ame.
•
Liquid fuel next to the box can cause unexpected fl ames. Do not refi ll
boxes until they have completely cooled down at least 15 minutes.
•
Do not store any fl ammable goods close to the fuel box.
•
Do not smoke while handling the fuel.
•
Remember to fi ll bio-ethanol to a maximum of 2/3 of each box.
•
Do not use gasoline or any other fuels other than bio-ethanol.
•
Only use the device if suffi cient ventilation can be provided, for example,
by an open window.
•
Try not to leave unburned fuel in burner, use up fully and refuel prior to
next use.
•
Do not leave children unattended.
Only use the extinguishing tool supplied with this appliance, never use a
timber or plastic tool and never use your bare hands. Pulling the plate towards
the front of the burner will reduce the fl ame height – and reduce the heat
output.
To turn off the fi re, pull the damper plate briskly to the front of the burner and
the fi re will extinguish. If the fi re does not shut down, reopen the damper plate
and repeat the shutdown procedure. Pushing the plate towards the back of the
burner will increase the fl ame height and increase the heat output.
After lighting the fi replace, allow approximately 15 minutes for the burner to
achieve effective working temperature. The burner is at working temperature
when the fl ames are full and mostly yellow in appearance.
