The markings on the water jug are for information only; the results depend on the type and size of eggs.
BOILED EGGS
SOFT BOILED EGGS
HARD BOILED EGGS
Fill the lower part of the appliance with cold water depending on the cooking method selected.
Use the water jug for the quantity of water required (1 to 2).
Place the egg holder on the lower part of the appliance.
Turn the water jug and position it so it is flat with the egg piercing spike uppermost.
Take each egg and place it on the Egg piercing spike so that the shell is pierced, to prevent the egg from cracking during
cooking. (3).
Position the eggs evenly around the egg holder. (4). Make sure to place the eggs in such a way that the opening is at the
top.
Place the lid correctly on the egg holder. (5).
Unwind the power cord completely and plug in.
Move the switch to the I position. (6).
During cooking some hot steam will escape through the small opening on the top of the lid, this is completely normal. (7).
Do not place hands over this opening in the lid during cooking.
END OF COOKING
When the water has evaporated, a beep sounds to advise that cooking has ended.
Move the switch to the O position. (8).
The indicator light goes out and the appliance stops operating. The eggs are ready.
Remove the lid using oven gloves as the appliance is still hot and hot steam escapes through the opening on the lid. (9).
Grab the egg holder by the handle (using oven gloves if necessary). (10).
Remove the egg holder from the appliance and run under cold water to cool the eggs. (11).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before any cleaning or maintenance, unplug and leave the appliance to cool.
The lid and egg holder are cleaned using water and washing up liquid.
Wipe the appliance exterior and the cord using a damp cloth.
Leave to dry.
Do this regularly, ideally after each use.
DESCALING
The appliance must be descaled from time to time, preferably once a month, depending on how often it is used and more
frequently if the water has a high calcium content.
To descale your appliance. Use:
- 20 g of commercially available white vinegar added to a jug of water;
- Place the liquid in the lower part of the appliance;
- Allow to heat for 10 mins without a lid;
- Stop the appliance, unplug and empty out the liquid;
- Rinse the cooking bowl using a damp sponge;
- Leave the appliance to cool;
- Allow the appliance to cool down completely before storing.

Leave it at a local civic waste collection point or an approved service centre.
