UTILITY BUTTONS
Utility Buttons
To the left of the display you will see 4 rows of buttons, most of which are used for administration purposes.
Let's take a quick look at them, starting with the bottom row:
Shift
Press and hold the SHIFT button to switch the focus of the knobs and buttons to their secondary function,
which is written in small type underneath the primary function. For instance, you can use SHIFT+NOISE
VOLUME to adjust the level of the Ring Modulator.
Search
The Search function allows to you audition only those patches assigned to a particular category, e.g. Per-
cussion, Lead, Bass, etc. Choose the category with the VALUE 1 knob, and then use the VALUE +/- buttons
to step through all the patches in that category.
Store
Press STORE if you wish to save the current patch or Multi set-up. In Single mode, you have the option to
save your patch to any of the RAM banks A-D. Once you have chosen the desired RAM bank and patch
number, press STORE again to move along to the patch naming page. A fifth option 'Dump Single' allows
you to transmit the patch as sysex information via MIDI OUT. Press Store to execute the Dump.
Once you are on the naming page, use the VALUE knobs to select the character for first step, then press
PARAMETER > to move the focus to each consecutive step. Once you are happy with the name, press
STORE once more to complete the process.
In Multi mode, you have three options:
· RAM Store the current Multi to one of 128 locations. If you have created custom patches for the Multi, you
should choose one of the 'embedded' multi slots in locations 0-15 Dump Arrangement.
· Send the Multi as sysex information via MIDI OUT.
· Store Single Menu Store the patch on the selected Part to a location in the Single RAM banks.
