9. When will the interconnected CO alarm be activated?
If the CO level (PPM) in the room is too high, the carbon monoxide alarm switches to the alarm mode
according to the scheme below:
027 ppm ± 03 ppm : No alarm signal
055 ppm ± 05 ppm : Alarm signal between 60 – 90 minutes
110 ppm ± 10 ppm : Alarm signal between 10 – 40 minutes
330 ppm ± 30 ppm : Alarm signal within 3 minutes
10. Health effects of carbon monoxide
~ - 00100 ppm : Slight headache, flushing of skin (indefinite exposure).
200 - 00300 ppm : Headache (5-6 hour exposure)
400 - 00600 ppm : Severe headache, weakness, dizziness, nausea, vomiting (4-5 hour exposure)
1100 - 01500 ppm : Increased pulse and breathing rate, syncope (fainting), coma, intermittent
5000 - 10000 ppm : Weak pulse, depressed respiration/respiratory failure, death (1-2 minutes
exposure)
•
This CO alarm may not prevent the chronic effects of carbon monoxide exposure and will not fully
safeguard individuals at special risk.
11. Wireless functions
Interconnect your alarms
a) Place the interconnected CO alarms as close as possible, not further than 5 meters apart.
b) Choose one CO alarm as Master. Press 3 times its TEST/SILENCE button. The green light will turn on.
c) Choose another CO alarm as Slave. Press 3 times its TEST/SILENCE button. The green light will turn on.
d) Wait for a few seconds until the slave device green light starts flashing then a beep, indicating
successful network pairing.
e) Repeat step b) for connecting more interconnected CO alarms.
NOTE: always use the same Master alarm for connecting additional Resideo interconnected smoke,
heat or carbon monoxide (CO) alarms, now and in future. Write down which interconnected alarm in
your home is the Master.
After all the CO alarms are connected, the master CO alarm will automatically exit the connect mode in 5
minutes. You can also press and hold the TEST/SILENCE button to exit manually.
Test your interconnection
Hold down the test/silence button.
