ATTENTION!
❐ Scalding hazard! Caution: Risk of emitted steam! Be careful when pouring out hot water.
❐ Scalding hazard! When the device is in use or shortly afterwards, avoid any contact with the
hot surfaces of the device (kettle and lid)!
❐ Allow the device to cool down before using the device again.
❐ Do not add more water than up to the MAX mark as water may spray out of the spout
during the boiling process otherwise.
❐ Fill the kettle at least up to the MIN mark with water! The device switches off automatically
when there is not suffi cient watter in the kettle.
❐ Each time before boiling, ensure that the lid is properly closed and that the On/Off switch is
not jammed. The device only switches off automatically, when the lid is closed and the On/
Off switch is not jammed.
❐ Remove the power plug from the socket, if you are not using the device,
1. Place the base on a dry, level, solid, water and heat-resistant surface and insert the mains plug
in a properly installed socket.
2. Take the kettle off the base unit. Open it by pressing the PUSH button on the upper part of
the handle and fi ll the kettle with drinking water. Make sure that the water level is between
the MIN and MAX marks. If there is not enough water in the kettle, the device will deacti-

out during the boiling process.
4. Place the kettle on the base unit.
3. Close the lid. Make sure that you only touch the plastic applica-
tion when closing the lid (see arrow in the picture) to prevent
touching any hot metal surface by accident when the device has
