6.
Gently pull outward on the door panel and push down on the
top panel to secure the hooks on the door panel over the outer
wire of the top panel. If your crate has a center "U-Wire," ad-
just the top panel so the "U-Wire sits on top of the door panel.
Note: Sizes 42" and 48" have a "U-Wire" on the top panel that
hooks OVER the end panel. Size 36" has a "U-Wire" on the top
panel that rests on top of the end panel. Sizes 24" and 30" do
not have a U-Wire.
7.
Repeat Steps 5 and 6 with the end panel.
8.
Secure the plastic pan inside the crate with the pan stop. The
pan stop is under the front door panel on the wire that touches
the floor. The pan stop wraps behind and then over the bottom
wire of the front door panel to create a barrier that prevents the
pan from sliding out of the crate. To remove the plastic pan for
cleaning, disengage the pan stop and slide out the plastic pan.
Installing the Optional Divider Panel
Place the divider panel inside the crate with hooks facing away
from the front door panel and away from the dog's living area.
Be sure the dog's living area will be large enough for him to
sit, turn around, and lie down comfortably. With the panel as
close to the bottom pan as possible, secure the divider panel's
hooks to each side of the crate.
USAGE & MAINTENANCE
To operate the door, lift the handle on the slide-bolt latch and slide the bolt to
the left to disengage.
To close, push the door firmly against crate and engage the slide-bolt latch.
Be sure the bolt slides all the way to the right and that the handle is in the
down position.
The plastic handle(s) are provided to transport the crate when it is in the
folded position and are not intended for use when the crate is fully assembled.
When attaching the plastic handles, place them on the same wire as the
crate's locking device. To remove the handles from the crate, push down firmly
until they disengage and do not twist them as this may cause them to break.
To protect the finish of your crate and plastic pan, use only mild, non-abrasive
cleaners and water. Any coarse scrubbing or abrasive materials could damage
the finish.
DO NOT expose the Plastic Pan to direct sunlight for extended periods of time
as this may lead to warping or damage to the pan.
To help reduce noise, place a piece of carpet or cut a piece from the crate car-
ton and place it inside the crate beneath the pan.
