▶ DO NOT send batteries through the mail!
▶ Cover the terminals with a non-conductive material (such as electrical tape) to prevent short circuiting.
▶ Dispose of your battery out of the reach of children.
▶ Dispose of the battery at your Hilti Store, or consult your local governmental garbage disposal or public
health and safety resources for disposal instructions.

Possible cause
The product is too cold.
Battery state of health is not opti-
mal.
Retaining lug on the battery dirty.
The overload protection system is
active.
Electrical fault.
The control switch is not fully
pressed.
The half-power button is engaged.
The tool holder is not pulled back
fully.
The side handle is not fitted cor-
rectly.
The electronic restart interlock is
activated after an interruption in
the electric supply.
Service limit time reached.
The product is faulty.
Product momentarily overloaded.
Protection against overheating.
Action to be taken
▶ Bring the product into contact
with the working surface, switch
it on and allow it to idle. If
necessary, repeat the procedure
until the hammering mechanism
begins to operate.
▶ Call up the battery's state of
health. → page 7
▶ Clean the retaining lug and
re-insert the battery.
The ON/OFF indicator flashes.
▶ Release the control switch.
Allow the product to cool down.
Press the control switch again.
Reduce the load on the tool.
▶ Immediately switch off the
product. Remove the battery
and keep it under observation.
Allow it to cool down. Contact
Hilti service.
▶ Press the control switch as far
as it will go.
▶ Press the "half-power" button.
▶ Pull the tool lock back as far
as it will go and remove the
accessory tool.
▶ Disengage the side handle and
refit it correctly so that the
clamping band and side handle
engage in the recess.
▶ Switch the product off and then
on again.
▶ Have the product repaired by
Hilti Service.
▶ Have the product repaired by
Hilti Service.
▶ Release the control switch and
then press it again.
▶ Allow the product to cool down
and clean the air vents.
