RECORDING FROM THE RADIO
Recording
is done on the side facing the cassette
holder.

Insert a cassette.

The side to be recorded on
Set the FUNCTION
switch to RADIO.
OPE/BATT

Select a band.
Turn the TUNING control to tune in to a station.
Press the
REC button to start recording.
To stop recording
Press the
/:
STOP/EJECT
button.
When the end of the tape is reached
The tape stops. To record on the other side, turn the cassette over and
press the
REC button again.
If a high-pitched
sound is heard during recording from Atoll
MW*H
Set the FM MODE/OSC
switch to the position that gives less noise.
Usable tapes
Use normal (type I) tapes for recording.
If you use metal (type IV) or
chrome (type II) tapes, sound that has been already recorded may not
be erased completely.
Do not set the FUNCTION
switch to POWER OFFiTAPE
orCD during
radio recording.
You cannot
listen
to a cassette
or a compact
disc during
radio
recording.
If the erasure prevention
tab is broken off, the
REC button cannot
be depressed.
The output volume and tone have no effect on recording
even if they
are adjusted.
To erase the recording

Set the FUNCTION
switch to POWER OFF/TAPE.
Insert a cassette
with the side to be erased facing you.
Press the
REC button to start erasing.
