The function of the mixer is to allow a certain amount of water to pass directly from the inlet to the
water softener outlet, without being purified of resins.
By unscrewing the mixer screw (fig. 2, B), the hardness of the water at the outlet is gradually
increased. However, it must be remembered that this operation should be carried out carefully.
Once the regulation has been carried out, it is recommended that a little water is left to flow and
that the hardness is measured.
DISINFECTION OF THE RESINS AND SALT ALARM
If desired, the water softener can be equipped with an optional device that disinfects the resins
during regeneration.
This device is a part that is screwed to the body of the valve (fig. 8) and is connected with a cable
to the corresponding connector of the timer (fig. 6, L).
Once installed, the timer activates it autonomously and during the suction phase (C2) the letters
"CL" are displayed.
In addition to disinfecting the resins, the device warns you when the salt in the brine is finished:
the orange LED under the screen lights up (fig. 9, F , check salt), reminding you that you must add
salt to the brine (fig. 7).
You can activate and deactivate the "salt alarm" function by carrying out the following procedure:
1)
press simultaneously
2)
press
until you see the parameter P11
3)
press
so that the P11 value starts to blink
4)
press
and select:
- 0 if you want to activate the "salt alarm" function,
- 1 if you want to deactivate it.
5)
press
to confirm the selected value of P11.
If you want to manually turn off the LED, you must briefly press
mode, the LED will turn off when salty water is sucked in again during the following regeneration.
MAINTENANCE
FOR THE USER
The only maintenance task that the user must carry out is to periodically add sodium chloride
(NaCl, table salt) to the brine (fig. 7), as without it the water softener cannot eliminate the
calcareous minerals in the water. ATTENTION: do not use substances other than food grade NaCl
table salt.
FOR THE INSTALLER
To ensure that the machine operates optimally, it is recommended that the following operations
are carried out periodically:
-
Every 6 months clean the brine and remove the possible sediments in the pipe (fig. 1);
-
The injector must be cleaned at least once a year (fig. 6, B), its filter (fig. 6, D) and the brine
regulator (fig. 6, C) observing the following instructions:
1.
Close the water inlet and outlet taps (fig. 3, B, D)
2.
Press the
3.
Wait a few seconds and check that the screen displays the C1 phase.
4.
Wait 15 seconds and disconnect the power supply.
5. Unscrew and remove the injector (fig. 6, B), the filter (fig. 6, D) and the brine regulator (fig.6, C).
6. Clean the components with water and make sure that the injector hole is not obstructed (fig.6, B)
7.
Carefully replace all the parts.
