Always ensure that the snorkel looks out of the
water. With the tip of the snorkel under water,
inhaling is impossible.
Be careful when using the snorkel, ensure that the
pliable part of the snorkel is not folded. This inhibits
the air supply.
The snorkel can
ll with water through water
splashing or from diving, which can lead to
swallowing water. Always inhale slowly and exhale
slowly to prevent swallowing water.
Blow out water that might have entered the snorkel
through short and powerful blowing, whilst
swimming along the surface or after coming up.
Always breathe slowly and carefully, as after
blowing out, some water may have remained in the
snorkel. Remove excess water by blowing it out
again.
The snorkel is tted with a special blow out-valve,
through which water can be pushed down and
away and the blowing out process is eased. Ensure
that the valve seal is always kept clean, especially
from sand or the like.
The orange coloured tip of the snorkel provides for
better visibility of the snorkel and serves for more
safety whilst snorkelling. It also protects the
snorkel from water entering. This splash protection
may not be removed!
Attaching the Snorkel to the Mask
To ensure that the snorkel remains attached to the
mask and stays in the right position whilst
snorkelling, do as follows:
1. Hang the clip-clasp of the snorkel to the
adjustable holding strap, so that the snorkel lies
against the outside of the strap.
2. Ensure that the holding strap of the mask is not
twisted.
Information:
There are two types of snorkels: Class A and class B.
Snorkel class A is for people with a high lung
capacity.
Snorkel class B is for people with a low lung
capacity (e.g. children).
Snorkels for adults are not to be used by children or
persons with a body length under 1,5m.
Usage Mask
Ensure that the side of the mask lies neatly on the
skin and that no hair is caught between the face
and the sealing cu . Caught-up hair is the most
common cause for water entering. Prevent a hard
impact and do not jump forward into the water
with a mask on! The reinforced glass of the mask
can break from the outside when hit hard, bumped
or impacted massively otherwise.
Adjusting the Mask
1. First release the adjustable holding strap, by
opening the attachment of the holding strap on
the goggles lightly.
2. Widen the strap, if necessary to the next stopper,
then put on mask. Pull the holding strap tight on
both sides, until you have a perfect t.
3. Fix the loose loops of the holding strap on both
sides with the plastic clips, so that they do not
stand out.
