4.2 Cleaning and maintenance
• The most important and sensitive part of the thermometer is the
sensor 6 .
guaranteed if the probe is clean and intact.
• The sensor 6 is waterproof and can therefore be cleaned by
directly immersing it in alcohol or using a ball of cotton wool
soaked in alcohol.
• Normal commercial alcohol-based disinfectant is suitable for
dis- infecting the sensor 6 . Please follow the respective
manufacturer's instructions.
• The housing and the display 3 of the thermometer are not
waterproof. Do not immerse them in liquids.
• Clean them with a dry, clean cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners.
• It is advisable to keep the thermometer in the original packing that
it was in when it was purchased, and keep it in a clean, dry place. Do
not expose the thermometer to direct sunlight.
• The storage temperature should be between -25.0 °C to +55.0 °C.
• The device is calibrated in the factory. Recalibration is not required
for normal use.
4.3 Disposal
This product must not be disposed of together with domestic
waste. ll users are obliged to hand in all electrical or electronic
devices, regardless of whether or not they contain toxic
substances, at a municipal or commercial collection point so that
they can be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner.
Please remove the batteries before disposing of the device/unit.
Do not dispose of old batteries with your household waste, but at
a battery collection station at a recycling site or in a shop. Consult
your municipal authority or your supplier for information about disposal.
4.4 Guidelines / Standards
This product conforms to the provisions of the EC directive MDD(93/ 42/ EEC).
