Prior to installation
-
Before installing the components, check the connecting elements for signs of damage and limescale. Clean or replace the components as necessary.
-
The Flow Comfort filter system must be installed in line with the applicable guidelines for drinking water systems.
Affixing the filter head onto the filter cartridge
1
Remove the protective cap immediately before affixing the filter head onto the filter cartridge.
Method of removing the protective cap:
Fig. 1
Connecting the filter system to the water system
-
Divide the flexible hose into two parts – one to be fttted to the mains water supply and the other to the 3-way mixer. Remember to cut the hose at a right angle.
-
The filter system is connected to the water system using 1/4" (6.3 mm) water hoses, which are inserted (as far as they will go) into the quick fit couplings located on
the filter head.
-
The filter head is marked with arrows showing the water inlet and outlet to ensure correct water hose placement.
-
Depending on the type and size of the cold drinking water connection, there are several ways to install the inlet hose.
To connect the inlet hose to the water intake, use a tee suitable for 1/4" (6.3 mm) water hoses.
Angle stop valve with a check valve, G3/8" thread and 1/4" quick fit coupling for the water hose:
-
allows the connection of a 1/4" water hose where the mixer's flexible hose connects to the cold water intake
-
it features backflow protection
-
a quick fit coupling makes connecting a ¼" hose quick and easy
Installation of the wall bracket
-
The filter can stand in an upright position or be suspended from a wall bracket with the hoses hanging loose.
-
The wall bracket is mounted using two screws suitably selected for the type of wall, e.g. for chipboard – screws 3.5 Pz . The bracket should be mounted so as to provide
adequate space for the filter cartridge fitted in the upright position.
Inserting the filter head with the filter cartridge inside the mounting bracket
1
Insert the filter head clip into
the hole on the right side of
the bracket arm
The capacities specified are maximum values that should not be exceeded due to the quality of the filtered water. To a very large extent, the filter's genuine capacity
depends on the parameters of the water entering the filter.

Remove the protection
2
Press the filter head onto the filter cartridge with a decisive movement, pressing onto the entire surface evenly so that there is no gap
left between the filter cartridge and the head. When mounting the head, it is best to place the cartridge on a stable surface, such as the
bottom of a cupboard or the floor. Make sure that the lock button is protruding just as it was before the head and cartridge were
connected. (Fig. 1) The place marked on the cartridge with arrows must be sitting in the centre of the ABCD markings on the filter head.
The vent hose, which is part of the filter head, should be freely routed on the external side of the head.
First method
2
Lightly pull back the opposite side
of the bracket arm and fasten
the head by pressing the clip
into the hole.
Remove the cap
Second method
3
Check that the head is
secure inside the bracket.
