OPERATION
1. Before use
• Remove any packing material and loose parts from unit.
• Check the accessories before use. They should fit with the machine and your
purpose.
2. Functions
a. Fitting the guard (Fig. 1)
Switch off the grinder and disconnect it from the power supply.

Depending on whether your operation is cutting or grinding, select the
correct disc guard.

CAUTION: Always ensure that the tool is switched off and unplugged from the power
supply before making any adjustments, carrying out maintenance or changing a disc.
Turn the angle grinder on to its back, press the spindle lock button and rotate the
spindle until it locks.

This tool is supplied with both
grinding and cutting guards. Please
take time to refer to the diagrams in
this manual to ensure you are using
the correct guard for the task. Failure
to use the grinding guard for cutting
operations could result in injury. This
guard has been specifically designed
to offer extra protection in the rare
event of disc or work-piece failure.
Use of the grinding guard offers extra
versatility in confined spaces but
must only be used for grinding.
•
Open the cam lock mechanism of the
disc guard. Position the guard on the
tool.
•
Twist the guard to the appropriate
position, where it will deflect hot
sparks away from the operator.
•
Lock the guard in position with the
cam lock.
