Question/Problem - Cause
Cause
The welding machine does not switch on:
• The power cord is unplugged;
• The "ON/OFF" switch is in the OFF position "0";
The flux-cored welding machine is on but does not deliver
enough welding current and the yellow LED light (thermal
protection) is lit:
• Overloaded appliance;
• The power supply voltage is higher than the technical
specifications and trips the overload relay;
• The ground clamp is not well attached and is not in
contact with the workpiece;
Poor welding performance:
• The power cord or extension cord is too long, which
causes the welding current to decrease;
• The welding current is not adjusted to the
characteristics of the wire;
• The wire is damp and causes instability in the welding
arc;
• The welding current is very high for the diameter of
the wire used;
Solution
• Plug in the power cord;
• Set the "ON/OFF" switch to ON position "I";
• Wait for the machine to cool down and switch it back
on;
• Adjust to the appropriate supply voltage;
• Attach the ground clamp correctly and ensure it is
contact with the workpiece;
• Increase the cable cross-section of the extension cord
or decrease its length;
• Adjust the welding current on the wire tension knob
according to the wire used;
• Use a good-quality and dry wire;
• Adjust the welding current according to the wire used;
