2.4. Safe use
- It is forbidden to use the Harvester in ways that are different from the indications contained
in the paragraph "1.6. Intended use".
- It is forbidden to use or have the Harvester used by anyone who has not read and com-
pletely understood the information contained in this manual.
- It is forbidden to use or have the Harvester used by personnel that are not competent or
properly trained or not in good health or physical condition.
- It is prohibited to touch in any way moving parts during work.
- It is forbidden to carry the Harvester while holding it by the power supply cord.
- It is prohibited to tamper with, remove, damage or bypass any part of the machine.
- It is prohibited to use the power supply cord for purposes other than the intended ones.
- It is prohibited to place the power supply cord close to heat sources, oil or sharp edges.
Damaged cords increase the risk of occurrence of electrocution.
- It is prohibited use the machine in damp areas or wet.
- It is forbidden to operate with the Harvester using ladders or supports that do not assure
stable balance.
- It is mandatory before starting to work with the Harvester, to provide personal protection
equipment for the safety of the operator, using a protective hard hat, goggles, headphones
and anti-vibration gloves.
- It is mandatory to check before starting to work with the Harvester, when using the exten-
sion rod, that there are no overhead power lines above the work areas. If there are power
lines, the equipment must be kept at a distance of at least 4 metres from the power line.
- It is mandatory to check that all the safety devices of the Harvester is intact and functional
before using it.
- It is mandatory to ensure, prior to connecting the equipment to the power supply, that the
switch is in the "0" position (off).
- It is mandatory to constantly ensure one is in a safe position with respect to the operating
machine and in the right balance.
- It is mandatory to ensure the ground where one is working is free from impediments that
might hinder the operator.
- It is mandatory to keep the combs and moving parts of the Harvester away from face and
any exposed persons.
- It is mandatory, in the event that the machine should crash at work, or you should break
any components, contact an Authorized Service Center.
- It is mandatory to keep the machine in protected places so as to prevent it from being
subject to the wear of the elements.
- It is mandatory to use the machine only under proper lighting conditions.
- It is mandatory to keep the Harvester away from children and animals.
- It is mandatory to periodically clean the equipment following the procedures and deadlines
set out in this instruction manual.
- It is mandatory to disconnect the power supply by setting the switch (A) to position "0" (off)
(fig. 4) from the battery supply before any maintenance work and, in general, at the end of
each use.
