3. Grille installation
1. Open the intake grille by pressing the 2 tabs on the intake grille to the direction
indicated by arrows. (Fig. 2)
Slide the 2 shafts inward and remove the intake grille from the shafts. (Fig. 3)
Remove the safety strings from the grille and remove the intake grille. (Fig. 3)
2. Remove the side cover fixing screws on the both sides.
Open the side covers L/R and remove the safety strings from the grille, then
remove the side covers. (Fig. 3)
3. Remove the screw cover at the center of the grille. (Fig. 3)

Open the horizontal vanes completely.

4. Open the horizontal vanes on the indoor unit completely. (Fig. 4)
5. Attach the temporary holding tabs on the grille to the hooks on the indoor unit. (Fig. 5)
6. Adjust the grille so that it is placed parallel to the ceiling joint.
Loosely install the 4 fixing screws (2) near the corners. (Fig. 5)
7. Tighten the fixing screws (2) and the fixing screw (3) at the middle of the grille. (Fig. 5)

8. Tighten the 4 fixing screws (2) near the corners installed in step 6.
• Make sure that there are no gaps between the indoor unit and the grille, or between the grille and
the ceiling surface.
Otherwise, air may escape from the gap, resulting in water dripping from the indoor unit.

Note: Make sure that the fixing screws (2) and (3) are tightened completely.
• If there are gaps between the grille and the ceiling.
Clear the gap by adjusting the installation height of the indoor unit with the grille installed. (Fig. 7)
9. Install the screw cover.
