OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Before using the tool, read the instruction
book carefully.
1. ON/OFF SWITCH WITH VARIABLE SPEED CON-
TROL
Depress to start and release to stop your tool. This tool
has a variable speed switch (2) that delivers higher
speeds with increased trigger pressure - speed is con-
trolled by the amount the switch trigger is depressed.
Higher speed will produce a higher torque while a lower
speed will produce a lower torque.
2. SWITCH LOCK-ON BUTTON
Depress ON/OFF switch (2) then lock-on button (3) (See
Fig 1), release ON/OFF switch first and lock-on button
second. Your switch is now locked on for continuous
use. To switch off your tool just depress and release the
ON/OFF switch.
3. FORWARD AND REVERSE ROTATION CON-
TROL
For drilling and screw driving use forward rotation
marked " " (switch is moved to the left). Only use re-
verse rotation marked " " (switch is moved to the right)
to remove screws or release a jammed drill bit (See Fig
2). Never change the direction of rotation when the tool
is rotating, wait until it has stopped.
4. CHUCK ADJUSTMENT
To open the chuck jaws rotate the front section of the
chuck while holding the rear section. Insert the drill bit
between the chuck jaws and rotate the front section in
the opposite direction while holding the rear section.
Ensure drill bit is in the centre of the chuck jaws. Finally,
firmly rotate the two separate chuck sections in opposite
directions.Your drill bit is now locked in the chuck.
Warning: Before installing accessory, remove
plug from power supply. Do not attempt to
tighten drill bits (or any other accessory) by grip-
ping the front part of the chuck and turning the
tool on. Damage to the chuck and personal injury
may result.
5. VERTICAL/HORIZONTAL BUBBLE LEVEL
Your drill is equipped with a bubble level that assists
you in drilling level holes. For horizontal drilling, tilt the
drill up or down as required so that the bubble floats in
the center of the parallel lines drawn on the glass. When
