• Children or persons unfamiliar with these
instructions must not operate the chain saw.
Local regulations may restrict the age of the
operator.
• The user is responsible for accidents or
hazards occurring to other people or their

• Use the chain saw only in daylight or in good
artificial light.
• Never operate the chain saw with defective
guards or without the guard in place.
• Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to ensure
that the chain saw is always in a safe working
condition.
• Hold the product securely with both hands.
• Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
• Do not attempt to repair the machine unless
you are qualified to do so.
Residual risks
Even if properly operating and handling this
electric tool, some residual risks will remain. Due
to its construction and build, this electric tool may
present the following hazards:
a) Cuts
b) Ear damage if working without ear protection.
c) Damage to your health caused by swinging
your hands and arms when operating the
appliance for longer periods of time or if the
unit is not held or maintained properly.

3. ASSEMBLY
Always wear protective gloves when
working with the chainsaw and employ
only original parts
Before putting the electric chain saw into
operation, you must:
- adjust the saw chain tension,
- lubricate the saw chain
- charge and insert the battery

Switch off the device and remove the
battery before carrying out any
maintenance work.
1. Place the device on a level surface.
2. Turn the Mounting knob (10) of the sprocket
cover in an anticlockwise direction (
order to remove the sprocket cover (9).
3. Spread out the saw chain (12) in a loop so that
the cutting edges are aligned in a clockwise
direction. Use the graphical symbol on the
blade bar or above the chain sprocket (17) as a
guide to align the saw chain (12).

4. Place the saw chain (12) into the blade bar
groove. To assemble, hold the blade bar
(11) tilted upwards at an angle of approx. 45
degrees in order to be able to guide the saw
chain (12) more easily onto the chain sprocket
(17).
5. Place the blade bar (11) and saw chain (12). It
is normal for the saw chain (12) to sag.
6. Turn the screw for the chain quicktensioning
system (8) until the chain tensioner pin (19) is
approximately level with the mounting screw
(16).
7. Place the sprocket cover (9) into position. The
chain tensioner pin (19) on the inside of the
sprocket cover (9) must be guided into the
chain tension pin holder.
