3 Ratchet mechanism (not fitted on all models)
The cable reel is delivered with a ratchet mechanism which retains the cable
in the required outdrawn position. The ratchet will disengage if the cable is
drawn out a little further and the cable then recoiles to the drum. It should be
noted that the cable should be held by the hand as long as possible during the
recoiling.
WARNING! Risk of personal injury.
Before dismantling any part of the reel, for example when changing cable:
• Disconnect power supply
• Release spring tension by removing the cable stop and allow the cable to
recoil completely
The following maintenance is recommended to be accomplished regularly or
at least once a year:
• Check the spring function by testing if the cable recoils properly.
• Check that the cable is intact. Clean the cable if it is oiled or dirty.
• Check the reels ratchet mechanism.
• Check the mounting of the reel on wall.
