3.1 sleeve installation
1. Slide the sleeve into the framed opening from inside until the back side of the sleeve hits the vertical stud.
2. For front discharge: Install wood screws (quantities vary by model size) through the dimples along the top of
the sleeve [A] (see Fig. 1). Install 1 or 2 wood screws (varies by model size) through the hole(s) in the back of
the sleeve [B] (Fig. 2).
3. For side discharge: Install two wood screws through the dimples along the top of the sleeve [A], and one
wood screw through the hole in the back of the sleeve [B] (see Fig. 2). Repeat on opposite side.

note:
The front edge of the sleeve should stick out minimum 1/2" (12.7mm) from the framing. For installations with
thicker fi nishing material, see "sleeve extension installation" section.
