Installation Instructions
Installation Location
Planning the location of the water heater within the RV:
• The location of this water heater within the RV should be considered before constructing the sidewalls of
the trailer or vehicle. Make sure to choose a location with adequate clearance and depth to accommodate
this water heater design.
• Do not install the water heater such that the vent can be covered or blocked when any door on the RV is
opened.
• Do not install the water heater to where the vent terminates below a slide out. This appliance is not to be
installed under any overhang.
• The tank of the water heater must be supported such that it is level with bottom of the sidewall cutout.
• It is recommended to provide adequate clearance and access to the rear water connections of the water
heater for easy servicing and winterizing.
• If the water heater is installed where a plumbing connection or tank leakage could damage the
surrounding area, it is recommended to install a drain pan that is plumbed to drain outside of the RV.
• Do not install the water heater directly onto to carpeting. If required, place a metal or wooden shield
directly under the entire area of the water heater.
