LOCAL INSTALLATION
REGULATIONS
This appliance must be installed in accordance with all
applicable local and national codes, including but not
limitted to the latest editions of the following standards:
• ANSI/NFPA70, National Electrical Code
• ANSI/NFPA 1192, Recreational Vehicles Code
• ANSI Z223.1 National Fuel Gas Code
• ANSI Z21.10.1, Storage Gas Water Heaters
• ANSI A119.5 Park Model RV Standard
• CSA C22.1, Parts I & II, Canadian Electrical Code
• CSA Z240 RV Series, Recreational Vehicles

Recommended Tools and Materials
• Drill
• Phillips head screwdriver
• Pipe thread sealant
• Pipe wrench or equivalent
• 2" x 2" lumber (blocking)
• Caulk and Caulk gun
• Ruler or tape measure

Wire stripper

UL approved wire nut or crimp connection

Be cautious of sharp edges as they may cause injury.
When lifting the water heater, use 2 people to lift.
DANGER
Carbon mononxide poisoning hazard.
This water heater can produce carbon monoxide,
which is an odorless and life threatening gas. Follow
these instructions for proper installation of this
appliance.
Warning
Fire and/or Electrical Shock Hazard. Failure to
obey the following warnings could result in
death or serious injury.
Shut of the gas supply, disconnect the 120 VAC
power to the RV, and disconnect the 12 VDC battery
connection before installing this water heater or
drilling/cutting into the RV. Make sure there are no
electrical wiring or piping inside the RV wall at the
installation location.
Warning
Electrical grounding instructions.
This appliance is equipped with a three-prong plug
for your protection against shock hazards and should
be plugged directly into a properly grounded three-
prong receptacle. Do not cut or remove the
grounding prong from this plug. Failure to obey this
warning could result in death or serious injury.
