Control Switch
Warning
Risk of fire or electrical shock. Failure to follow the below instructions could result in death or
serious injury.
Planning the location of the control switch in the RV.
• The location of this control switch within the RV should be considered before constructing the sidewalls of
the trailer or vehicle. Make sure to choose a location with adequate clearance and depth to accommodate
this control switch.
• Make sure there are no wires or plumbing inside the RV sidewall at the installation location.
• Shut off the gas supply, disconnect the 120 VAC power from the RV and disconnect the 12 VDC battery
before drilling or cutting into the RV.
• When choosing the location of the control switch, make sure to choose an easily accessible are for both
use and service.
• The wiring linking the water heater connection point to the control switch location is to be provided by the
installer and routed between the control switch installation location and the water heater. Use a minimum
wire size of 18 AWG, UL or CSA approved wiring. See
• The wiring link the +12 VDC power from the RV battery to the control switch installation location is to be
provided by the installer and routed between the control switch installation location and the battery.
