* By the above steps, you can change the name of Macro Soft Key
(for example, TV-ON/VCR-PLAY instead of KEY1).
* After saving, the new function name will be displayed.
* Repeat the above steps to change the name of the other keys.
9. Additional Device Key Functions to Enhance Control
In some instances, the standard functions of the TSR/500 do not provide the degree
of control over your audio/video equipment provided by your original remote
control(s). In this case, you can supplement the standard functions by selecting key
functions to add and using your original remote teach them to your TSR-500 (see
section 5). Then use the LABEL Mode to change your Soft Key label for that function.
You can reprogram the individual keys on your TSR/500 that you desire to change
using this method without having to reprogram the entire device functions. This
incremental key learning method is a powerful way to enhance the functionality of
your TSR-500, allowing you to add only the additional functions you need and use
daily.
