You have to program the TSR/500 to work with your audio/video
equipment for it to work properly. If it isn't programmed, please
repeat the previous steps in section 4.
5. Learn Code
The PROGRAM CODE illustrated previously in Section 4 is the preferred way to get
your TSR-500 to work with your audio/video gear with the least amount of effort. The
LEARN CODE feature permits a degree of protection against the TSR/500 becoming
obsolete with technological advances in the audio/video realm. LEARN CODE also
provides offers the ability to program individual keys with supplemental functions
that may not be included in the standard pre-programmed library of program
codes.
The standard code library provides most of the functions needed, but you can add
a small number of additional functions of your choice. To use the LEARN CODE
function, you will need the original remote that was included with your product.
Put the remote that you want the TSR/500 to learn from on a flat surface. Next,
place the TRC/500 remote facing your existing remote so that the front of your
existing remote points at the front of the TRC/500 remote. Make sure that you keep
about 2 to 4 inches between both remotes.
1) Press [LEARN CODE] Soft Key to enter learning mode.
