Electrical requirements
☑ Make sure the supply power circuit is the appropriate size and voltage and that power wiring is routed to a
junction box at the fan location.
☑ Make sure the fan is the correct voltage. The voltage is marked on the fan specification label and cannot be
changed during installation.
☑ For installations using the speed controller, install the fan on a switched circuit so that the fan can be turned
on and off after the speed controller is mounted at ceiling level.
Mounting guidelines
☑ A structural engineer should approve the mounting structure prior to installation.
☑ Big Ass Fans recommends installing the optional Stability Kit if the fan is exposed to high winds or similar
conditions or if the fan is close to any other sources of airflow.
☑ The fan is suitable for indoor installation only.
☑ If hanging the fan from an I-beam, the I-beam must be part of the existing building structure.
