INDICATIONS FOR USE:
The position of the knees is not a natural work position. Without protection, workers may experience a
lack of comfort or immediate injury caused by hard surfaces.
Prolonged work done in this position can cause the risk of chronic illness such as prepatellar bursitis and
cartilage damage owing to continuous pressure on the knees.
Knee protection is therefore recommended for work done while kneeling.
No protective gear can offer full protection against injury or issues that are likely to occur.
To ensure compliance with Standard EN 14404+A1, OPSIAL® knee pads must be worn with pants
from the OPSIAL® ACTIV'LINE RANGE (P702639, P702640, P702LFK, P702JO8, P702KJA et P702LSZ) or
ORIGINAL BLACK DENIM (P702645).
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
The kneepad must be removed from the packaging.
To insert the knee pads into the pockets specially designed for this purpose, fold them and insert them
into the trouser pockets lying flat (before putting them on) , the OPSIAL logo must be on the outside
(ground side).
CLEANING:
Cleaning of the knee pads: Clean using a damp cloth.
WARNINGS:
This protective gear is not a medical device and cannot be used for sporting activities.
In the event of wear and tear, the knee pads cannot be repaired: they need to be replaced*.
The protection offered is not suitable for harsh conditions such as work done on the knees on broken rock
in mines or quarries or when used for very long periods without frequently getting up. This protective
gear must be kept away from open flames.
* Any change in appearance requires a visual inspection of the PPE. The main signs of deterioration are discolouration,
loss of elasticity and crumbling, caused by humidity, heat and light. Knee protection showing these will be considered
ineffective and should be changed.
STORAGE:
The knee pads must be stored in the original packaging in a clean, dry, well-ventilated area and out of
direct sunlight.
Warning: any change in temperature or pressure can significantly reduce the protective performance of
the knee pads.
The knee pads, reference no. 55 362 408, are available as a pair with dimensions H 24.5cm x W 15cm -
thickness 2cm.
SAFETY:
This knee pad does not contain any substances at levels that are known or suspected to have adverse
effects on the hygiene or health of the user under the foreseeable conditions of use.
