Preparation
3.1 Initial usage
1. Take all package materials, labels
and protective folios and dispose
of them in accordance with the ap-
plicable regulations.
2. Please clean the outer parts of the
appliance as described in the sec-
tion "Cleaning and Care".
3. Place your appliance on a flat, bal-
anced, dry and nonskid surface.
In the first use, a light
C
odor may arise from
the iron. This condition
will turn to be normal
after a couple of uses.
WARNING: When
your iron is filled with
excessive water, it may
A
overflow. To avoid this,
when you hold your
iron horizontally, make
sure that the level of
water in the appliance
does not exceed the
MAX. line.
The "TICK" sound
C
you hear during iron-
ing, is because of the
anti-drip feature of your
appliance. This is a
normal sound.
8 / 68 EN
In order to generate
steam, the base (3) of
your iron has to rise
to a certain level of
temperature. By means
C
of the "anti-drip"
feature of your iron,
water dripping from
the base (3) of the iron
shall be prevented until
the temperature of the
base becomes eligible
to generate steam.
• Your product design is intended for
use with tap water. If your tap water
is excessively limy, we recommend
you to use a mixture of tap water
with potable water. Prior to iron-
ing during first use, fill twice and
vaporize. Meanwhile, use the shock
steam button (8) frequently. In this
way, both the steam performance
will improve and also the dust par-
ticles which might have somehow
penetrated through the steam chan-
nels will be cleaned up.
• If water runs out during ironing,
after unplugging, you can top up
water without waiting it to cool
down.
• When spray does not squirt water,
in order to eliminate any possible
blocking, close the spray hole with
your finger and press on the spray
button several times.
