Before first Use
Unpack the air pump and check all parts for any damage in transit. Dispose of
packaging materials or store it out of reach of children. Plastic bags etc. may
become a deadly toy for children.
Charging the Battery
Before the first use fully charge the Ni-Cd battery.
1. To detach the battery from the unit, press both
battery retaining buttons (6) inwards at the same
time and pull the battery off the unit.
2. Attach the battery to the charger (12). The
battery fits only in one position into the charger.
Connect the charger to the AC/DC power supply
unit (10) and plug the adapter into any 230 V DC
socket.
3. The red control LED (13) indicates that the
charging is in progress. When the charging
process is complete, the green LED (14) addi-
tionally lights up. Charging time is approx.
5 hours.
4. Unplug the charger from the socket and disconnect the battery from the
charger.
5. Now insert the battery into the air pump until it audibly snaps in.
Please note!
 Do not use force when inserting the battery into the unit or the charger.
 Before recharging, allow the battery to fully cool down.
 Use the air pump until battery power is low. That means, use the unit until
you start noticing that battery power is diminishing. Charging the battery
while battery has still enough capacity will lead to "memory effect" and the
battery will loose the capacity over some time.
 Avoid using the air pump until battery power comes to a minimum. This can
also damage the battery.
