MANIFOLD ONLY
1. Clip manifold to top of stand.
2. Attach tubing connections of manifold to the ports
underneath the reusable canister/bracket.
3. Attach patient tube to the patient port of any of the four
Quick-Fit liners.
4. Cap pour spouts and tandem ports of all canisters. (The patient ports of the other canisters
do not have to be capped if the stopcock for that canister is closed.)
5. Open stopcock for the first canister; close stopcocks for the other canisters.
6. Connect vacuum tubing to the manifold vacuum port.
WHEN FIRST CANISTER IS FULL:
1. Remove the patient tube and cap the patient port.
2. Close the stopcock.
3. Attach the patient tube to the patient port of the next canister.
4. Open stopcock for the second canister.
5. Disconnect vacuum tube from vacuum port of full canister.
6. Replace full liner if necessary and dispose of according to hospital policy.
Note: All used and unused liners must be discarded after procedure.
IMPORTANT: Be sure that the patient port is capped before closing stopcocks or disconnecting
vacuum tubing.
