INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
• The beam on which the carriage is to be mounted and the load-bearing structure in general have to be sufficiently stable to allow
loading to take place in a safe manner.
• Before starting any task, check for visible defects and faults, such as deformation, cracks, wear and tear and signs of corrosion
on the carriage, drawbar eye, the unit connected and the load-bearing structure. Also check to ensure that the unit and load are
hooked up correctly.
• Check the condition and correct operation of the unit connected by referring to the instructions in the user and maintenance manual
Once these checks are successfully complete, place the load in position and make sure that:
• The load connection device is resting fully on the load hook and the safety lock can be closed fully.
• The load applied to the accessory is free to line up with its anchorage point.
OPERATIONS
Fitting the carriage on the beam
To install the carriage on the beam, rotate the drawbar eye until the side walls line up sufficiently to enable the wings of the beam
to pass through them. Then rotate the drawbar eye in the opposite direction to allow the side walls to approach each other again
and fix the carriage in place on the beam (see figs. 5 to 8).
NOTE: where necessary, the carriage parts may also be dismantled and then reassembled.
If there is an access point to the beam (see figs. 10a and 10b), it can be used to move the carriage into place even if the distance
between the wheels is greater than the width of the wings of the beam.
Make sure limit switches are fitted to the beam (see fig. 11). If a limit switch is removable, make sure it is reset after gaining
access to the carriage.
The maximum inclination of the beam flange should not exceed 14° (see fig. 9).
The maximum inflection of the guide rail is 1/500 of the length of the beam.
The longitudinal gradient of the guide rail route should not exceed 0.3%.
The air gap between the guide roller crown and beam flange should be 1.0 - 2.5 mm (height A, Fig.9).
The anchorage drawbar eye has to be in the vertical position.
When fitting a carriage with limit switch to the beam, for example.
