This unit is not designed to modify/replace its battery.
After the battery lifetime has been reached, dispose of the
appliance. To remove the battery from the appliance, properly
remove the 4 pads under the base of the unit (using a small flathead
screwdriver). Once the pads are removed, loosen and remove the 4
screws. You will then be able to access the old battery. Disconnect
the battery connectors. Dispose of the battery safely in accordance
with current regulations. The battery must be removed from the
appliance before it is disposed of.
