Emptying the condensate
container (Fig. 3)
Notes:
The appliance switches itself off automatically
whenever the condensate container (1) is full.
The "W.F." condensate container full LED
flashes and a warning signal sounds for a few
seconds. The "Power" LED and the LED for the
predefined room humidity remain green.
If the container (1) has not been fitted correctly
after emptying, the "W.F." LED will continue
flashing.
1. Remove the container (1) by pulling it out
carefully towards you and then empty it.
2. Slide the container back into the appliance once
you have emptied it.
Operation with an external
condensate drain (Fig. 4)
Notes:
Please note: To prevent water damage, make
sure that the condensate drains properly at all
times.
Please note: If the water is very cold you will
have to take appropriate measures to prevent
the water from freezing in the drainage hose.
It is recommended that the condensate be
drained off to a drain which is at a lower level. If
you use an external collecting container (e.g. a
trough), the appliance must be positioned at a
higher level accordingly.
The drainage hose must be fitted with a gradient.
Do not kink the hose or allow it to become
clogged.
If the drainage hose becomes clogged, the
condensate must drain to the condensate
container from the overflow.
1. Remove the rubber plug (1) and keep it in a safe
place because as soon as the external
condensate drain is no longer used it has to be
fitted back in the connecting piece.
2. Connect the connecting piece (2) to a suitable
water hose with an inside diameter of 10 mm and
fasten it with a clamp.

De-icing function
To prevent the cooling elements becoming iced up
at operating temperatures below 22°C the
appliance is equipped with a de-icing function.
Here the compressor is switched off while the fan
motor continues to run.
During this phase the dehumidifying function is
interrupted for a few minutes. Please observe the
operating range of the appliance (see the
Technical Data).
The appliance is equipped with a compressor
protector which automatically shuts down the
appliance if the temperature exceeds 35°C or falls
below 5°C, or in the event of excessive power
consumption.
Care and maintenance
Always pull the power plug before starting any
work of care or maintenance!
Use only a soft cloth to clean the housing.
Never use aggressive chemicals, detergents,
chemically treated cleaning cloths or solvents as
they may damage the housing.
Cleaning the air filter (every 2 weeks)
Remove the air filter.
Use a vacuum cleaner.
If the filter is very dirty, wash it with warm water
(max. 40°C). Then allow to dry thoroughly. Never
expose the filter to the sun or any other sources
of heat. Never fit the filter back in the appliance
while still damp.
Storage
If you do not intend to use the dehumidifier for a long
period, do the following:
Switch off the unit, pull out the power plug and
reel up the power cable.
Empty the water tank and carefully dry it.
Clean the ventilation grille, place a cover over
the unit and store it where there is little sunlight.
