GUARANTEE & MAINTENANCE ADVISE
You have just bought a SENSEA OPTIMA2 shower cabin.
We have taken great care in its design and manufacture. To use it correctly and to extend
its working life, please read these few instructions carefully.
The
SENSEA glass wall panels
are treated to make cleaning easier and to reduce lime scale
deposits. To ensure this treatment lasts as long as possible, we recommend:
- After each use, remove residual water from the wall panel using a flexible wiper blade or
a soft cloth.
- Clean the wall panels regularly with soapy water, avoiding abrasive sponges and
corrosive cleaning products. Then rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove soap
residues.
Taps and hydrotherapy products
have to withstand many stresses: pressure,
temperature, repetitive cycles, attack by water, etc.
We therefore recommend:
1.Wiping the taps and chrome-plated surfaces after use with a damp sponge or soft cloth.
2.Never using abrasive, acidic or chlorine-based products (containing hydrochloric,
hydrofluoric or phosphoric acid). These aggressive products attack coatings and
chrome-plated surfaces, and tarnish your equipment.
3.Greasing (silicone grease) metal parts (handle, mixer cartridge, diverter valve) periodically.
4.Operating moving parts at least once a week to ensure they continue to operate properly.
5.Regularly rubbing the silicone hose tails of the hydro-massage nozzles, the shower
handset and overhead shower to remove possible lime scale deposits.
During maintenance (removing and refitting) taps, be careful to place the item on soft
surfaces and to use appropriate tools to avoid scratches.
The plughole must be cleaned regularly to ensure optimum flow.
Precautions:
The mains water supply can carry dirt or small particles (sand, metal filings)
that can damage adjustment systems and block filter units. Fitting a special filter will
trap these particles and protect your fittings and equipment.
Guarantee conditions
Your SENSEA shower cabin is guaranteed against all manufacturing defects for a period of
5 years from the date of purchase.
The guarantee lasts 1 year for parts subject to normal wear, such as rollers, seals, mixer
cartridge, diverter valve, hoses, overhead shower, hydro-massage nozzles,
shower handset, etc.
To be eligible for a claim under the guarantee, the cabin must have been installed in
accordance with current best practice and following the instructions provided, and must
not have been used abnormally, for example:
- Inadequate cleaning or not cleaned according to the attached recommendations "
Cleaning and Maintenance".
- The use of corrosive or abrasive cleaning products.
- Shock, breakage or careless handling.
- Damage caused by a foreign body (sand, metal filings, etc.) carried by water.
- Products damaged by ice or frost.
- Use in a group-use environment.
Broken glass:
The glass used for SENSEA wall panels has been toughened. This increases its ability to
withstand shocks and limits injuries if the glass is broken accidentally.
Nonetheless, to reduce the risks of weakening the glass, it is recommended:
- To provide wall and floor protection and handle doors and wall panels with the greatest
care during assembly.
- Not to force the tightening of accessories to be fitted on doors and wall panels (door
handles, towel rail, shower bar, etc.).
Our guarantee for the glass is limited to the making the product available and may not be
applied in the event of dropping it or impacts.
Procedures:
Under no circumstances does the guarantee cover call-out charges and direct and indirect
damage.
It does not cover the cost of removing and refitting the product involved in the guarantee
claim, except to the extent of invoking the legal guarantee for hidden defects.
For any
After-Sales Service

What to do if
?
DIVERTER VALVE
Difficult to operate => Operate moving parts at least once a week.
TOP SHOWER HEAD
No flow => check for foreign bodies. May be scaled up.
MIXER TAPS
1. Leak from the mixer body:
Replace seal.
No compression on mixer cartridge (retighten the base and compression nut).
Problem with thread on hoses.
Feed hoses damaged by over-tightening; replace them
2. Dripping: Replace the cartridge (must be drained).
Leak at the flow rate lever (top of mixer body:
- Seal badly positioned or over-greased
- No compression of the cartridge (retighten the compression nut).
Important - Keep this information
Hot water occupies less volume than cold water; when the shower head of column is
stopped, the hot water cools and therefore increases in volume in the pipes. The overhead
shower head may therefore drip for a few moments.
Very hard water carries a lot of calcium and magnesium salts that accelerate scaling of your
taps and domestic appliances that use water. To check the hardness of your water, contact
your store or your local council.
Treating your water with a softener will protect your installations and prolong the life of
your equipment.
Scaling of your installations results of excess consumption of water and energy.
