ASSEMBLY
Recharge only with the charger
WARNING
specified for the battery. For spe-
cific charging instructions, read the operator's
manual supplied with your charger and battery.
Before use, read manual and labels of the power
head. Important assembly and use instructions
are provided in the power head manual. Connect
the attachment to the power head in accordance
with the power head manual.
Do not operate the tool without the correct guard
in place. The guard must be attached properly
during use. Operating the tool without the guard
could cause serious injury.
Always remove the battery pack before chang-
ing or removing accessories and adjusting the
handles.
Removing/Inserting the Battery
To remove the battery, push in the release buttons
and pull the battery pack away from the tool.
Always remove the battery pack
WARNING
any time the tool is not in use.
To insert the battery, slide the pack into the body
of the tool. Make sure it latches securely into place.

Use both hands when operating the tool, according
to the attachment instructions. Maintain a firm
grip. Using one hand could cause loss of control
and result in serious injury.
Installing the String Trimmer Guard
Do not use the string
WARNING
trimmer guard with
the brush cutter blade. Operating
the tool without the correct guard
could cause serious injury.
The guard is shipped uninstalled and must be in-
stalled before use. Use caution to keep hands away
from the line blade.
1. Remove battery pack.
2. Line up the guard brack-
et with the holes in the
guard.
3. I n s e r t f o u r s c r e w s
through the guard and
into the bracket.
4. Tighten the screws se-
curely using the T30
hex wrench.
