WARNING! Always make the connections in
the correct order as described in this user
manual. Otherwise the vehicle's electronics
may be damaged. Proceed against the
specifications at your own risk and
responsibility. The jump start mode is not
suitable for batteries with a capacity below
45Ah. Using this mode on a <45Ah battery
could result in damage to the battery. Note
that some diesel and large-displacement
petrol engines require a starting current
beyond the supported maximum of this
appliance (75A) – if the battery is complete-
ly drained the maximum current of 75A may
not be sufficient to start these engines.
The charger features an analysis program to protect
the battery from damage (e.g. sulphation or rapid
voltage drops), particularly during jump starting.
The device will not switch on the jump starter with
severely drained or heavily stressed batteries to
protect the battery. During this process the battery
will be charged with a low current and the "Char-
ging" indicator will light up. The display continues
to read "0". In this event the jump start function
cannot be used to protect the battery from damage.
You should first charge the battery using the Normal
or Fast Charge mode for some time before attemp-
ting to use the jump start function again.
• Plug the power cord (7) into the mains outlet.
• Connect the positive (red) clamp (5) to the
positive (+) battery terminal.
• Connect the negative (black) clamp (4) to the
negative (-) battery terminal.
• If the terminal clamps are connected correctly
the charger will automatically select the correct
battery type.
• Review the battery type indicator, and adjust if
necessary using the BATTERY TYPE button (2).
• Now select the Start mode using the MODE
button (3). The charger will analyze the batte-
ry's charge level and the display (6) will read '0'.
• Start the vehicle's ignition. The display will
now show a 5 second countdown: 2 seconds
priming/analysis followed by 3 second jump
starting.
• During the countdown the charger will briefly
deliver 75A to start the engine. The countdown
is followed by a 180 second pause to protect
the battery.

Battery reconditioning mode
Heavily drained 12V batteries will be reconditioned
by the charger before the actual charging process
is started. When the voltage of the battery is bet-
ween 8.5 and 10.5V, the charger will automatically
enter the reconditioning mode. During the recondi-
tioning process the "Charging" indicator will blink
and the battery charger will charge the battery with
a 2A charging current for 2 seconds, then stop for
1 second. This cycle is repeated for 10 minutes.
After the reconditioning process the charger will
measure the battery voltage again.
• If the voltage is now above 10.5V, the 12V char-
