Using for the first time
Charging the battery pack
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the
unit! Do not allow the battery pack to
deep discharge.
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the
unit! Do not press the On/Off switch
after the device has deactivated
automatically.
Note: The Li-Ion battery pack can be
charged at any time without affecting
the lifetime of the unit. Interrupting
the charging process will not dam-
age the battery pack.
• The battery pack must be charged prior
to the first start-up (charging time:
 Technical data – p. 33).
– Plug the power supply into a mains
socket.
– Push the connector of the power supply
into the socket (6).
The charging status is displayed by the con-
trol lights (2):
• Red light lights = Battery is charging
• Red light turn to green light = Battery fully
Checking the remaining capacity of the
battery
– Press the button (3).
The remaining capacity of the battery is dis-
played by the control lights on the display (2):
• Red, yellow and green control lamps light
up = battery fully charged;
• Only red and yellow control lamps light
up = battery partly discharged;
• Only red control lamp lights up = battery
discharged.
Operation
Inserting a tool
– Insert the bit into the bit holder and push
the bit into the chuck as far as possible.
– To remove the bit, simply pull it out of the
bit holder.
Changing the rotation direction
NOTICE! Risk of damage to the
unit! Only use the rotation direction
switch when the device is at a stand-
still.
– To screw screws into place, press the
rotation direction switch (5) to the left
(rotation in clockwise direction).
– To remove screws, press the rotation
direction switch (5) to the right (rotation in
an anti-clockwise direction).
If the rotation direction switch is in the centre
position, the On/Off switch (7) is blocked.
Check before switching on!
Check to make sure the device is in a safe
operating condition:
– Check to make sure there are no visible
defects.
– Check to make sure all device compo-
nents are correctly mounted.
Switching on and off
– To start the tool turning, press the On/Off
button (7).
• The LED (8) will light up.
– To switch the unit off, release the On/Off
switch [5].
Screwdriver action
– Keep the device in a straight line to the
screw.
