Hints
Never misuse the hand crank to hold the load in place with the crank only.
This will lead to injuries or damages to the hand winch.
Never release the toggle lever of the hand winch under load.
Please note, if the toggle lever is disengaged (middle position); the hand
winch is not secured in any way at this moment! If load is applied on the steel
cable at this moment, the cable will run rapidly out of the winch and the crank
will spin violently!
Maintenance and Cleaning
If the hand winch is used extensively, it should be examined and lubricated by
a qualified technician once a year.
Do not try to repair the hand winch yourself and do not disassemble it. In case
of questions or problems please turn to our customer service. Have the hand
winch repaired by a professional only.
Clean the housing of the hand winch with a lightly moistened cloth.
Before undertaking any inspection or maintenance work on the hand winch,
make sure the winch is released. Do not work on the winch under load!
Keep the steel cable clean and well lubricated. Lubricate the cable from time to
time by applying a thin layer of grease resp. spray a thin layer of chain and
robe spray. Regularly lubricate all moving parts and keep the hand winch
clean at all times.
Storing
Store the hand winch indoors in a dry place that is protected from dust, dirt
and extreme temperatures.
Store the hand winch out of reach of children.
